Vince Lombardi was a highly acclaimed author that was born in South Brooklyn New York on June 11th of 1913. He first attended school to become a priest at St. Francis High School and then left this idea behind to play football. He played so well that he was given a scholarship to attend college at Fordham University, where he graduated with a major in business. He also went to night school for a time studying law, while he also played semi-professional football and then became a coach. He was also a teacher of Latin, physics and chemistry. During his career he also held coaching jobs at Fordham University, at West Point Academy, for the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Red Skins.
