Martin Luther King was an amazing author that was born in 1929 on January 15th. During the 1960s he became known far and wide as being one of the Civil Rights Movement's most prominent advocates. He also followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and joined the ministry of the African-American Baptist church. In 1964, he earned recognition through his efforts of a social change through strategies that were non-violent and received the award of the Nobel Peace prize. The year following his marriage to Coretta Scott in 1953, he started serving as pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist church in Montgomery, Alabama. In recognition of his powerful speeches and captivating voice, he was named Times 'Man of the Year' in 1963.
