Benjamin Franklin, one of the most world-renowned author inventors, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17th of 1706. By 12 years old he was working under his brother as an apprentice printer and later also worked as on in Philadelphia. In the 1730s and 40s he helped come up with ways to light, clean and pave Philadelphia's streets. One of his largest accomplishments was in 1731 and was the Library Company. Due to his efforts the Pennsylvania Hospital was formed in 1751 and in 1736 the Union Fire Company of Philadelphia was organized. He had many other accomplishments, with two of them being his kite experiment with electricity and lightning and signing the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
